Semi-monthly pay

Being paid twice a month on set dates, which adds up to 24 paychecks a year.

Semi-monthly pay comes on two fixed dates each month, such as the 15th and the last day. That's 24 paychecks a year, and every month has exactly two.

Paydays can move to the nearest workday when a date falls on a weekend or holiday. Unlike bi-weekly pay, there are no months with an extra paycheck.
